about
This is a song about the fear of getting stuck in life, doing repetitive things, please others and putting yourself second all the time.
The song's name, Fabrik, actually means Factory in swedish. We wanted the sound of the synths and the drums to remind of some sort of big factory, a repetitive loop of big sounds that shaped a rhythm.
lyrics
It has always been on your terms
I feel myself slowly giving in
You’re holding back emotions and the truth
It has always been your way or no way
You’re wasting time
You miss the fun
I’m holding out a helping hand
Don’t close your eyes and then run away
Please don’t ever tell me who to be
Don’t ever tell me when to speak
You’re wasting time
You miss the fun
Be aware now every single time
Be aware now every single time
Let yourself go try to have some fun
You’re wasting time
You miss the fun
You’re wasting time
You miss the fun
Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.
